market links, critique groups, general resources, and more. Instead, I've left an
eclectic list for you to browse. These are all sites that have sparked my interest
for one reason or another. May they do the same for you.

I've always been fascinated by Faberge Eggs. This site by PBS has everything there
is to know about them.
Fantasist Enterprises is a publisher of illustrated fantasy fiction, including
anthologies. From the website: "dedicated to furthering that branch of the
speculative fiction genre that reawakens the senses of wonder and magic..." Also
has a newsletter.
Fantastic Literature is a British online bookseller, specializing in speculative fiction.
CLOSED. Fantastic Stories of the Imagination is a renown speculative fiction
magazine edited by Edward McFadden. Formerly known as Pirate Writings.
The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (also known as F&SF) is another
award-winning speculative fiction magazine featuring short stories from some of
the most prominent authors around.
FantasyBookSpot.com provides speculative fiction book reviews and also hosts
writing contests and fora for authors.
Fantasy-Fan.org provides books reviews and articles.
Fantasy-Writers.org provides information for writers as well as hosting periodic
writing challenges.
FBI files available through the Freedom of Information Act. Very cool, very scary.
I've linked to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s FBI file, but you can also look at
files on spies, famous people, gangsters and other violent criminals, and even what
the FBI calls "unusual phenomena."
Feeding America is a Michigan State University Project with cookbooks dating back
to the 18th century. So if you protagonist needs to whip up a Civil War
Thanksgiving dinner or a Norwegian-American dessert from Minnesota, you might
want to look here to make it authentic.
Flashshot specializes in genre fiction works around 100 words in length. Stories are
available on the site, by daily e-mail, and by anthology.
Flashing Swords is a quarterly e-zine dedicated to sword & sorcery, sword &
planet, and swashbuckling historicals. Originally edited by Howard Andrew Jones
and affiliated with www.swordandsorcery.org and Pitch Black Publishing.

Folger's Shakespeare Library is an unparalleled resource for information about the
Bard.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations collects all sorts of
information.
The Freer Gallery of Art and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery are part of the
Smithsonian museums. They specialize in Asian art.
Renown artists Brian and Wendy Froud's website. Amazing stuff.
