Harper's Magazine is an institution unto itself, having been a staple of American
cultures since 1850.
Hatrack River is much more than writer Orson Scott Card's official website.
There's also lots and lots of information for readers and writers.

I've linked to the History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies Department Periodical
Collection, which "contains over 215 links to journals, bulletins and newsletters
whose focus is the history and culture of the Middle Ages [and] the Renaissance."

TheHorse.com provide quality information about horse care.
HowStuffWorks.com dissects the inner workings of everything from computers to
vampires, from gps to cars, from electronics to the economy.
